Thursday 9th February When 2 become 1 - Josh McCormack and Luke Brennan

Rice Queen puts on 2 for 1 cocktails all night long and two of our favourite boys serenade The Queen's loyal subjects. Josh McCormack plays dirty folk rock and likes to cover lady songs. Luke Brennan (above) styles himself a little softer, his work is inspired by an eclectic and eccentric interest in original music. As an artist his compass is set somewhere between the suburban streets of childhood where sullen and monotonous lives are romanticised by the escapist, and the sticky hardwood dancefloors of bandrooms where everyone dances with anyone in celebration of the traditions of soul, folk and rock n roll.

Friday 10th February Eden Mulholland and Olympia

Tonight, Ricey treats you to $15 cocktail jugs and tunes from Eden Mulholland and Olympia. Vocally a bit of a chameleon and with a weird back catalogue of music written for theatre and dance, Eden does his take on pop music of the future; complete with strange voices, ripped apart rhythms and momentary flashes from ethereal orchestras. Eden is also the singer and writer for pop group Motocade, who regularly tour overseas and recently showcased in New York as part of CMJ festival. I can't find out much about Olympia, but she's very pretty and plays very emotive music. I think you'll like it.
